Mayer Brown was named a finalist for “Americas Firm of the Year,” “Project Finance Team of the Year” and “Structured Finance and Securitisation Team of the Year” in the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) 2017 Americas awards. In addition, Mayer Brown advised on four matters that were named as finalists for IFLR for “Deal of the Year” recognition:
- High Yield Deal of the Year – Mayer Brown advised Yum! Brands and its subsidiaries in its first secured credit facility and first high yield notes offering;
- Project Finance Deal of the Year – Mayer Brown advised the Port Authority of Jamaica on the privatization of the Kingston Container Terminal;
- Structured Finance and Securitisation Deal of the Year - Mayer Brown represented Goldman Sachs, as lender, in the cross-border asset-backed financing of Linzor Capital Partners’ acquisition of the GE Capital Mexico business; and
- Structured Finance and Securitisation Deal of the Year - Mayer Brown acted as lead counsel for Yum! Brands Inc. in its issuance of a US $2.3B securitization of Taco Bell.
