Litigation Year in Review: Trailblazers & Innovators

Mayer Brown lawyers regularly represent clients in franchise and distribution litigation. In the franchise area, we have represented a number of franchisors, franchisees, franchisee associations, and a franchise consultant in litigation involving franchise registration and disclosure statutes, federal and state trademark and unfair competition laws, antitrust, securities, RICO, common law fraud, breach of contract (including breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing), and other related issues.

Our lawyers are also experienced in handling litigation between manufacturers, suppliers, and licensors, on the one hand, and dealers, licensees, distributors, and sales representatives, on the other, in cases involving dealer relationships and the distribution of goods and services. We have handled cases involving antitrust, breach of warranty and other breach of contract claims, wrongful termination, state franchise or industry specific statutes (such as automobile dealer statutes) and many other issues through trial and appeal.
