TSI Annual Congress 2011 - Opportunities for German ABS on Europe's credit markets

As in previous years, many representatives of the German ABS industry and politics, as well as academics working in this field will be meeting at the TSI Congress 2011 to exchange professional views and experience. Just as in the last year, the congress will also feature an investor stream in English language with selected topics for investors.

The European debt crisis and the forthcoming regulations for banks and insurance companies are affecting the financial markets. In retrospect, however, European ABS – especially German ABS – have clearly performed exceptionally well throughout the crisis.

In addition to classical securitization topics, the TSI Congress 2011 will consequently be examining the interrelation of the regulations and the changes they will bring about in the banking sector – in particular with regard to banks' own refinancing and their intermediary function.

It would be our pleasure to meet you on the occasion of this congress either at our booth on the ground floor or at one of the workshops, which partners of Mayer Brown's German finance practice will moderate:

  • Dr. Ralf Hesdahl, moderator at the workshop on "German auto ABS: quality throughout the crisis" (English language investor stream) on September at 2:15 p.m.
  • Andreas Lange, moderator at the workshop about "Verbriefung von Leasingforderungen als Finanzierungsalternative für Leasinggesellschaften", on September 30 at 11:00 a.m., and
  • Dr. Jörg Wulfken moderator at the workshop "Was bringt das nationale und EU-Bankenrestrukturierungsrecht?", on September 30 at 11:00 a.m.
