Public outcry resulting from the ongoing financial market turbulence and corresponding loss of investor confidence has given the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) a clear mandate to bring to justice the individuals and firms that contributed to the current crisis.
