Global corporations need to place greater emphasis on strengthening their antitrust compliance policies as a result of increasingly aggressive multi-jurisdictional cartel enforcement. To offer guidance and information, which is particularly relevant in these times of political and economic uncertainty, Mayer Brown's Antitrust & Competition practice is holding two complimentary roundtable programs to discuss, among other topics, how to handle simultaneous cartel investigations and private antitrust damage actions in multiple jurisdictions.

In particular, the panelists will address various scenarios that may arise during a cross-border investigation and explain how to implement a truly effective antitrust compliance program and corporate governance policy. The discussion will include:

  • Similarities and differences among competition law regimes and their leniency programs
  • Defending civil litigation prompted by government investigations
  • Tactics employed by international enforcers to obtain evidence
  • How to prepare for and handle "drop-by" enforcer interviews and dawn raids
  • Compliance training for the company's senior executives and sales force
