US Financial Rescue Initiatives in the New Administration and Congress

After his inauguration on January 20, President-elect Barack Obama will inherit management of the ongoing US financial crisis. He and his Administration will be working with a new Congress, the leaders of which have already identified financial services rescue and reform initiatives to be major priorities early in the 2009 session.

Please join us for a 30-minute teleconference, the next in our continuing series on the financial crisis, in which we will address such questions as:

  • What new financial rescue initiatives will the new Administration be likely to propose?
  • What will be the top priorities of the new Congress in trying to address the financial crisis?
  • Will there be new federal funding in 2009 for financial sector relief?
  • What are the prospects for major financial services structural reform in 2009, and what might that reform look like?
