Reorganizing and Re-Arming of the SEC's Division of Enforcement

With new leadership and a clear public directive to clamp down on alleged abuses in the securities markets and avoid repeating its own missteps, the SEC's Enforcement Division is undergoing dramatic structural changes. These changes promise to minimize bureaucratic delays and the hesitancy to seek large civil penalties from publicly held companies, to be replaced by quicker investigations, redeployment of resources into specialized units, and adoption of Department of Justice-style efforts to encourage cooperation and improve enforcement efficiency.

Please join us on September 24 for the next 30-minute teleconference in our continuing series. We will provide insights about recent changes at the Division of Enforcement, and tips for responding to the SEC's rapidly-changing enforcement processes and priorities.
