There is much media attention towards recent enforcement actions by the US government over products allegedly produced in violation of forced labor laws. While enforcement has been increasing over the last five years, US-China trade tensions and the Biden administration’s focus on human rights have increased the risk to supply chains that rely directly or indirectly on products that are suspected to be produced in violation of human rights. We will also address the possible “next” target industries of enforcement.
