Overview

Tom is a senior associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of the London office. He joined Mayer Brown in 2016. He advises on a broad range of contentious matters, with a particular focus on professional negligence, pensions and trusts disputes, and commercial disputes.

Tom’s experience includes:

Commercial disputes

Tom advises on a broad variety of commercial disputes, often involving multiple jurisdictions. He has experience of High Court litigation, including applications for interim relief, and arbitration before a range of institutions including the LCIA and LMAA. He acts in contractual disputes and disputes concerning claims in tort, including misrepresentation claims.

Professional negligence

Tom regularly defends claims brought against professionals, including solicitors, actuaries and financial advisers. Tom has also acted for professionals in regulatory investigations.

Pensions disputes

Tom advises on a range of contentious pensions matters, including disputes concerning the interpretation of trust instruments and proceedings before the Pensions Ombudsman.
