Overview
Katherine is counsel in the Employment & Benefits practice out of the Chicago office. She advises clients on a wide variety of issues involving employee benefits and executive compensation. Her practice includes the design, implementation, communication, administration and amendment of tax-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements, equity-based compensation plans, and health and welfare plans. She advises clients on employee benefits issues in global and domestic corporate transactions, including qualified plan compliance and pension plan funding issues, multi-employer plan obligations and potential withdrawal liability, Internal Revenue Code Section 409A compliance, continuation of health coverage and golden parachute payments. Katherine assists with client representation in pension plan qualification and correction matters before the Internal Revenue Service. She also designs and drafts employment agreements, severance agreements, stock options and other stock-based incentive compensation arrangements and deferred compensation plans.
