Mayer Brown partner Stephanie Hurst named to Los Angeles Business Journal 2022 list of influential attorneys

Mayer Brown announced that Los Angeles-based Corporate & Securities partner Stephanie Hurst has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 “Women of Influence: Attorneys” list, which highlights women lawyers for their exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership and contributions to the Los Angeles community.

Ms. Hurst focuses her practice on a broad range of corporate and securities matters. She has worked on dozens of innovative and complex deals, involving multiple jurisdictions and in evolving and emerging areas, including tech and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). She frequently advises California-based companies on corporate-related ESG matters.

She is an active participant in the firm’s pro bono and diversity initiatives, including the Women’s Committee and Project Equity program. Additionally, through her recruiting efforts, Ms. Hurst has helped increase the Los Angeles corporate practice’s overall diversity—it is now one of the office’s most diverse. She is also involved in mentorship within the firm, including through summer associate programs.

Outside the firm, Ms. Hurst is actively involved in the community, including the Los Angeles-based organization, THE XX PROJECT, which is designed to empower and advance women.
