Mayer Brown advises The Halifax Group on acquisition of Sonoco's European contract packaging business

London — Mayer Brown's Private Equity team advised The Halifax Group in a transaction that sees Sonoco (NYSE: SON), one of the most diversified global packaging companies, sign an agreement to sell its European contract packaging business to Prairie Industries Holdings, a portfolio company of The Halifax Group. The transaction is subject to normal closing requirements and is expected to be completed in the next 30 to 60 days.

The team previously advised The Halifax Group on its sale of Pirtek Europe in November 2018.
