A Balancing Act: IP Rights and Vaccine Access

To speed COVID-19 vaccination worldwide, some countries have asked the World Trade Organization to temporarily alter IP rights for coronavirus-related innovations. 

In a Bloomberg Law article, Mayer Brown partner Bryan Nese discusses whether suspending or otherwise attenuating these IP rights will successfully address the distribution issue and whether alternatives exist that would protect IP rights.
