On 1 January 2007 the Companies (Registrar, Languages and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2006 (the “Regulations”) came into force. They amended ss349 and 351 Companies Act 1985 in such a way that a company’s name must now be stated on its websites and order forms, as well as on business letters and other documents, and it is made explicit that references to order forms, business letters and other documents include electronic versions of those documents (and therefore include emails).
