The Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“the law”) came into force on 30 June 2020. The new law has drawn both domestic and international attention due to its uniqueness, which covers the areas of secession, subversion, terrorism and collusion with foreign or external forces. Hong Kong Litigation & Dispute Resolution Partner Thomas So was invited to share his insights on how the implementation of the National Security in Law in Hong Kong would affect domestic and international business.
