Nick Kouvaritakis, our LNG Practice Leader (Asia), spoke at the Bangla LNG workshop in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 6 November. Nick spoke on “Effectively Developing your LNG and Power Projects” and shared some of the challenges in developing an integrated LNG to power and LNG import projects in general.
The workshop, hosted by Excelerate Energy, brought together industry leaders in the public and private sector to discuss relevant topics affecting each organization across the LNG value chain.
Among the distinguished guests who attended the event were Energy Advisor to the Bangladesh Prime Minister, Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, and Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy Dhaka, JoAnne Wagner, who delivered keynote speeches.
Also in attendance were the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ahmed Mohammed Nasser Al-Dehaimi, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Hu Kang-ild. Representatives from Mayer Brown, IFC, Qatargas, Atlantic Council, Boskalis, Cheniere, The Lantau Group, Poten & Partners, Royal HaskoningDHV, Siemens Bank, and Technica participated in the workshop.
