Jason Elder was invited to moderate a panel entitled "What Every Securities Lawyer Needs to Know About Ethics" at the Seventh Annual Institute on Corporate & Securities Law in Hong Kong on May 24, 2019. The panel was organized by Practising Law Institute (PLI).
Jason invited four panellists to discuss recent market developments, responsibilities to prospective clients and "pre-deal" advice and managing conflicts of interest in the context of cross-border capital markets transactions. The PLI seminar has entered its seventh year in Hong Kong and remains the pre-eminent legal CLE conference for securities law in Asia. Over 100 in-house and corporate lawyers attended for the two-day event. Jason has moderated the ethics panel for each of the last three years, having moderated the debt capital markets panel in each of the prior four years.
