The ABA Business Law Section is holding its 2019 Spring Meeting in Vancouver and will offer over 80 CLE programs and many more committee meetings and events. 

FSRE partner Stephanie Robinson (Washington DC) will participate on, and FSRE associate Matthew Bisanz (Washington DC) will moderate, a panel discussing current developments in state action involving federally-chartered financial institutions, including potential movement to fill a “regulatory void” and implications for transactions and third-parties. 

FSRE partner Jeffrey Taft (Washington DC) will participate on a panel exploring the issues for SIFIs and non-SIFIs in the recently passed legislation in the US raising the threshold for heightened prudential standards applicable to bank holding companies and the Federal Reserve’s proposed rules implementing the legislation.

FSRE partner David Beam (Washington DC) chairs a subcommittee that will put on a panel at the meeting that addresses challenges and opportunities in cross-border payment services.
