Rosita Li was invited to moderate a panel session at the Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia Forum), jointly organised by the HKSAR Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Design Centre, on 6 December 2018. Held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the two-day forum brought together over 2,500 IP professionals and business leaders from all over the world to discuss the latest developments in the IP world and to explore business collaboration opportunities.
Rosita’s session, “IP Entrepreneurship: The Journey from Start to Growth” was co-organised with the Licensing Executives Society China, Hong Kong Sub-Chapter, of which Rosita serves as Vice-Chairman. The panel explored challenges faced when starting up a company, particularly in respect of IP concerns and issues, and useful tips on how to protect the ‘crown jewel’, or intellectual property, of a start-up business. The panel also looked at the financial and funding opportunities offered to start-ups and entrepreneurs to kick start and grow their business.
