Please join us for a breakfast briefing discussing bank charters options for consumer financial services and fintech companies.  This briefing will highlight some of the bank charter options, including the OCC’s fintech charter, industrial loan companies (ILCs), credit card banks and full service national and state chartered banks. Topics will include:

  • Potential banking charters available to consumer financial services and fintech companies.
  • Advantages and disadvantages of the OCC fintech charter and other non-bank bank charters, such as ILCs and credit card banks.
  • Advantages and disadvantages of owning a full-service insured depository institutions, including “bank holding company” status.
  • Key regulatory differences that lenders, investors and other counterparties should understand between fintech companies and banking institution.
