Gabriela Kennedy spoke at the “Fintech. Regtech. What does it all mean and how will it help my business?” seminar organised by the US Consulate General on 7 May 2018. Held at our Hong Kong office, the seminar attracted over 50 attendees who gathered to meet a group of U.S. fintech and regtech companies to gain practical insight into the latest industry developments, discuss business opportunities, and market entry strategies.
Jim Cunningham, the Chief Commercial Consul of US Consulate General, kicked off the event with welcoming remarks and introduced each of the speakers before Gabriela began her discussion exploring ways in which fintech companies can protect their businesses, and stay ahead of legal complexities and challenges from an intellectual property perspective. Then, six fintech companies including Adarsa Services, Appnovation, Bucket Technologies, ConsenSys, Graphen Inc and Tadley presented their state-of-the-art solutions and technologies to the audience each followed by a Q&A session. A cocktail reception followed, where participants mingled and networked.
