On 22 and 24 May 2018, the Asia Trade Finance team, led by Singapore partners Ben Sandstad and Angelia Chia, hosted the inaugural Global Supply Chain Finance Summits in Singapore and Hong Kong. The two Summits saw partners from the US, Europe and Asia and distinguished outside panellists discuss the latest legal, regulatory and business developments in the supply chain finance market.
The half day summits were attended by approximately 50 delegates in each location and consisted of three sessions, followed by a drinks and networking reception. The topics included ‘Supply Chain Finance Global Market Update’; ‘Regulatory Pressures for Supply Chain Finance’; and a ‘Supply Chain Finance Business & Distribution Panel’.
Partners Massimo Capretta (New York and Chicago) and Alex Dell (London), travelled to Singapore and Hong Kong to give an update on the markets in the US and Europe. In Hong Kong, partner Alan Linning also presented on the ‘Regulatory Pressures for Supply Chain Finance’ session.
