On 16 January, Mayer Brown’s Paris office hosted its first anti-corruption compliance meeting. Head of Compliance partner Nicolette Kost De Sèvres (Paris), Paris office partner-in-charge Jean-Philippe Lambert and Damien Goubau, CCO of resource management company Véolia, discussed the current practical issues related to the Sapin II law as well as what led to the first judicial convention of public interest signed by France and its implications for the future in relation to the Agence Française Anti-Corruption (AFA) requirements, draft recommendation and developments in the international scene such as those concerning the FCPA, UK Bribery.
