In the five years since its inception, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has established itself as an aggressive regulator that uses its powers of rulemaking, supervision and enforcement in an effort to remake the market for consumer financial products and services. It has brought over 125 enforcement actions resulting in over $10 billion of consumer remediation. Join us as we discuss the nature of the CFPB’s authorities, how it uses them and what to expect from the CFPB in the future.
