Bill Amos spoke at the China Arbitration Week Spanish arbitration seminar on “Commercial Arbitration in Hong Kong”. The seminar was one of the events of the China Arbitration Week celebrating the 60th anniversary of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). The panel of speakers for the seminar included lawyers and international arbitrators from Hong Kong, PRC and Spain.

During the seminar, Bill explained how Hong Kong arbitration could assist Latin American and Chinese parties in providing a neutral and convenient forum for the resolution of commercial disputes.

The seminar also considered the role Spain can play as an international centre of arbitration, with a focus on the conflicts that may arise between Asian and LatAm countries. The seminar introduced the leading Arbitration Courts in Spain and the role played by the Spanish Club of Arbitration and Club Español deal Arbitraje, an association of professionals with over 900 members in 40 different countries.
