Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that we will be hosting monthly breakfast briefings on hot topics in the consumer financial services industry. The breakfast briefings will provide a forum for an interactive discussion of current issues and challenges in the consumer finance industry. These meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of each month for approximately 60 minutes, and breakfast will be served.
In the first briefing, partners from Mayer Brown’s Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement and Structured Finance practices will focus on federal preemption, including Madden v. Midland Funding, LLC and Bethune v. Lending Club, the recent class action alleging that Lending Club should be considered the lender in certain loans made by Web Bank.
