Investment into Latin America has increased over the years, and Latin American countries are keen to see the trend continue, particularly in the natural resources, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors, though country risk remains a concern in some countries. Perhaps correspondingly, dispute resolution in Latin America seems to be on the rise. Not only do the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association International Centre for Dispute Resolution report an increase in the volume of cases arising from Latin America, but also Latin American countries are still among the most frequent respondents in investment arbitration.

Please join us for a dynamic discussion as Brazil Deputy Consul General Roberto Ardenghy and ProMexico Northeast Regional Director Edmundo Gonzalez (both in Houston) share their experience and insight on investment trends, investment protection structures and dispute resolution throughout Latin America together with lawyers from Mayer Brown and Tauil & Chequer.
