There are many expatriates working in China. China's legal system can be quite foreign to a Western employer. China is generally an employee friendly jurisdiction. However, there can be traps and pitfalls for an unsuspecting employer. This seminar will focus on some of the main aspects of employing an expatriate employee in China.
The seminar will look at:
- What are the different employment structures for expats in China?
- What are an expats' entitlements under PRC law?
- What restrictions do employers need to watch out for?
We will address these questions and in doing so will consider some recent cases and practical enforcement issues.
