John Marsden acted as Chairperson for the ‘’PRC Restructurings’’ panel at an IAPBL/ TMA symposium which focused on providing insights in relation to the successes and failures of restructurings in the PRC through examining a few significant case studies.
The symposium was titled “ Unlocking Value in the PRC: The Changing Nature of Restructurings on the Mainland” and involved discussions among insolvency practitioners, investors, fund managers, investment bankers and commercial bankers on the latest market trend of restructurings in China.
Other speakers at the event include KPMG, PwC, Standard Chartered Bank, Alix Partners, Alvarez & Marsal and Deloitte.
The conference was organised by the Institute of Asian-Pacific Business Law (IAPBL) of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and was took place at Mayer Brown’s Hong Kong office on 10th October 2014. The event was well-attended by 100 guests and followed by a cocktail reception at KPMG’s office.
