Congress and the courts have created several exemptions and immunities that affect the application of the federal antitrust laws. This panel explored the fundamentals of antitrust exemptions and immunities, including the state action and Noerr-Pennington doctrines, among others. Panelists from private practice and the government illuminated this important area of the law.
