US real estate acquisitions by South Korean investors ballooned from $200 million in the first half of 2012 to $5.4 billion in the first half of 2013, eclipsed only by global funds and US investors. The European real estate market has seen a similarly impressive increase in purchases by South Korean investors.
Kwon Lee, managing partner of Lee International, will moderate a panel discussion on the opportunities in the US and European markets. Panelists will include Hugh Macdonnell, managing director of Clarion Partners, and Gordon Marsden, Director at DTZ. Experienced US and European lawyers will provide an overview of the principal tax, legal and financing issues that deal teams for Korean institutional investors should understand when making acquisitions in these markets.
Attendees will receive materials that provide detailed analysis of the issues addressed by the speakers.
CLE credit is pending for California, Illinois, New York and Texas.
