On November 14-15, 2012, the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V., the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the F.A.Z.-Institut and the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) initiative are hosting the Sixth Annual Transatlantic Business Conference "The Transatlantic Marketplace: Challenges and Opportunities Beyond 2012” in Frankfurt.
Held just days after the US election, this year’s Transatlantic Business Conference explores the future direction of the US-European relationship. With its distinguished keynote speakers, international panel discussions and in-depth workshops, this annual forum for business and political leaders intends to provide strategic inspiration and stimulate the transatlantic dialogue.
Mayer Brown will conduct a workshop on “Fines, Unbundling, Damage Claims - (Over)Sanctioning of Antitrust Law Infringements in the EU?“. Günter Verheugen, former Vice President of the European Commission, will discuss with Mayer Brown partners Dr. Mark C. Hilgard, Robert Klotz, Dr. Jens Peter Schmidt and Dr. Jan Kraayvanger the legal uncertainty for companies which face the rising risk of becoming entangled in long antitrust infringement battles.
