On November 8 & 9, 2011, the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the F.A.Z.-Institut and the initiative TransAtlantic Business Dialouge (TABD) are hosting the Fifth Annual Transatlantic Business Conference "The Transatlantic Marketplace: Challenges and Opportunities Beyond 2011.” Next to Mayer Brown as a supporting partner of the conference, Commerzbank AG, Deloitte & Touche GmbH and Dräger-Stiftung will be co-sponsors again.
With keynote speeches, panel discussions and practice-focused workshops addressing a range of issues affecting German-American business ties, the conference will fuel discussions and provide strategic inspiration.
Mayer Brown will conduct a workshop on Optimized Financing Structures for 2012. Expiring mezzanine programs that need to be refinanced, low equity or debt capital availability, rising growth that leads to increased investment needs, manifold new regulatory requirements: the need for financing and refinancing will be dominating the agendas of many businesses in 2012. The workshop will examine the legal and tax-law aspects of different financing forms (e.g. equity, mezzanine, bonds, loans) and will provide an overview of what you should consider in view of the current legal and economic developments in Germany and the US.
