The Hedge Funds and Litigation teams are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Hedge Funds Litigation seminar. This seminar is aimed both at hedge fund managers looking to protect their position in light of current market conditions (including as they change going forward in 2009) and in face of regulatory change and those managers looking to find leverage in negotiations includingÿconsidering litigation as a tool. We will provide a topical discussion and examples looking at active litigation and regulatory investigations affecting hedge fund managers in the US and consider how those causes of action might translate, if at all, to the UK and Europe. We will also engage in some blue sky thinking about creative causes of action being explored that may push the envelope on interpretation of key operational agreements, fiducuiary duties and liability in negligence and fraud. The sums atÿstake make such approaches viable for claimants. Finally we will examine how European fund managers can best position themselves in face of potential extraterritorial reach exposure to US regulators and prosecutors.

We hope to attract a primarily hedge fund manager audience and encourage free discussion. The Chatham House rule will apply.
