Government & Global Trade Post-Inauguration Webinar Series: Impact of the Stimulus and Proposed Budget on Tax Legislation

Thursday, March 26, 2009

As President Obama settles into the Oval Office, everyone is wondering what to expect from his new administration. In this series of post-inauguration webinars, Mayer Brown's Government & Global Trade practice, in conjunction with practices across the firm, is taking a closer look at the changes we might see under our new President and how his policies could affect areas such as tax, energy, legal reform, telecommunications, government contracts and antitrust, among others.

For the fourth event in our series, we will focus on the many recent developments in tax legislation emerging out of Congress and the White House and the potential impact for business. Please join us as we conduct a one-hour webinar to discuss:

  • What effect will the recently passed stimulus bill have on future tax legislation?
  • What tax proposals are included in Obama's proposed budget?
  • How will Senator Levin's recently reintroduced legislation on foreign tax havens affect businesses in the US and abroad?
