Eliza Tannus is an associate in the Corporate & M&A practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the São Paulo office. Eliza focused her academic path on business, with emphasis on finance, accounting, economics and commercial law, from a domestic and international perspective, having attended courses in London and New York. Prior to joining Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown in 2017, Eliza served as an in-house counsel at one of the largest Brazilian commercial conglomerates — Grupo NC.

  • Represented Grupo NC as internal counsel during the control acquisition of RBS’s media and communication operation in Santa Catarina state (2016);
  • Represented Grupo NC as internal counsel during the control acquisition of the wind farm complex Senandes from Grupo Odebrecht (2016);
  • Represented Grupo NC as internal counsel on behalf of its pharmaceutical company, EMS, in the assumption of Medley’s pharmaceutical activities in the Federal District (Brasilia), (2016);
  • Represented Grupo NC as internal counsel during the corporate restructuring of investments made in the health sector (2016).
