Kirstin Swanepoel is a South African qualified lawyer in the Banking & Finance practice of the London office, focusing on leveraged finance.
Kirstin’s experience includes advising a range of South African and international corporates, banking institutions and other financial institutions on various forms of corporate finance, including leveraged finance and buy-outs, refinancing transactions, syndicated loan funding and preference share funding, having represented both borrowers and lenders.
Kirstin has also advised on debt and equity capital market transactions having represented a large South African listed company in a debut high yield bond issuance on the London Stock Exchange's International Securities Market as well as representing a dual listed company in its issuance of tradeable warrants and warrant receipts on multiple exchanges.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2022, Kirstin worked as an associate in the Johannesburg office of an international law firm headquartered in New York City.
