Overview

Kyle Steinmetz assists institutional clients with the defense of complex litigation matters, including consumer class actions, construction disputes, post-acquisition disputes, and general breach of contract matters. Kyle has significant experience advising clients at all phases of litigation, including conducting internal investigations in advance of litigation, briefing and arguing dispositive motions, managing all aspects of discovery for complex commercial matters, defending and deposing fact and expert witnesses, and representing clients at trial.

Experience

Kyle’s representative matters include:

  • Defending clients across a number of sectors, including financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and technology companies in nationwide consumer class actions (as well as in related individual matters and arbitrations) arising under laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act.
  • Defending a utility company in a construction dispute arising out a train derailment through document, fact, and expert discovery and trial.
  • Defending a renewable energy development company in a complex dispute regarding the dissolution of a jointly-owned subsidiary through trial and appeal.
  • Defending owners and developers in renewable energy construction disputes with off-takers, construction contractors, and other project stakeholders.
