Overview

Paul J. N. Roy is senior counsel in the Technology Transactions practice. Paul has represented national and international firms in a broad range of business and technology sourcing transactions, including the sourcing of information technology services and support, application development and maintenance, telecommunications services, help desk services and support, business processes and functions, facilities management services, procurement, e-commerce transaction processing and support, human resources, logistics, employee health and safety, supply chain, customer services, public affairs, and marketing and sales. He has represented established and emerging companies in many different industries, including consumer products, chemicals, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, insurance, health care, banking, life sciences, real estate and information technology. Paul has represented numerous Fortune 500 clients in outsourcing transactions.

Chambers Global 2017 recognizes Paul for his "superior" outsourcing practice and Chambers USA 2017 states that "Paul Roy's mastery of outsourcing is second to none and his team delivered flawlessly." He is praised as an "industry leader" and "he is very creative, very good at negotiating and good at counseling clients." Chambers Global 2015 notes that Paul "earns plaudits from interviewees for being 'helpful in explaining concepts to clients - he takes complex material and makes it understandable.'"  Chambers USA 2012 describes Paul as "insightful and a problem solver with great attention to detail." The 2009 edition of Chambers USA notes that "he has a strong technical background and 'offers intellectual horsepower and pragmatic solutions' in outsourcing deals." Additionally, Best Lawyers named Paul as the "Chicago Information Technology Law Lawyer of the Year" for 2013 and 2014. Paul was named to Legal 500's list of Hall of Fame lawyers in 2017.
