Overview
Hugo Munsey is a senior associate in the Banking & Finance practice of the London office.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2022, Hugo worked as senior counsel in the structured and securitised products group of a Global US investment bank, advising on its structured products and securitized derivatives business. Hugo has a broad range of transactional structured products experience, ranging from bespoke and tailored issuances for institutional investors to European public offers of structured securities to retail investors. He has experience advising on a number of securities regulations, including the PRIIPs Regulation and the Prospectus Regulation.
Prior to working as an in-house counsel, Hugo was an associate in the derivatives and structured finance group of another large international law firm advising a broad range of financial institutions on structured finance transactions, including repackaging transactions and the establishment and maintenance of multi-dealer debt issuance programmes. Hugo has previously completed two separate six month secondments to a large European investment bank, working as part of its fixed income legal team.
