Ashraf Mokbel is an associate in Mayer Brown’s New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities Practice. Ashraf’s practice focuses on the formation of domestic and offshore funds such as leveraged buyout, credit, infrastructure, real estate, mezzanine, special opportunities, venture and hedge funds, as well as customized hybrid structures that combine features of traditional private equity and hedge funds.
Ashraf represents both sponsors and investors in all aspects of the establishment and operation of private investment funds, fund of funds and managed accounts (closed-end, open-end and hybrid). Ashraf also advises on investment transactions such as co-investments, joint ventures, seed capital arrangements and secondary market sales of fund interests as well as the establishment, capitalization and restructuring of investment advisory businesses and the lift-out of management teams.
