Hadjira Mezaïti is a scientific & regulatory advisor in the Product Regulatory team of Mayer Brown's Brussels office.
Hadjira is a biologist who assists companies on establishing compliance of products by providing technical and scientific support, evaluating safety and conducting exposure-based risk assessments. She advises clients on regulatory requirements applicable to food-contact, chemicals, medical devices, biocides and cosmetics. Hadjira also monitors current developments in nanotechnologies and helps companies anticipate their impact on their business.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Hadjira was the Director Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at the International association representing nonwovens and related industries (EDANA). She has deep knowledge of the nonwovens industry and she provides regulatory and technical guidance on the legislative framework applicable to nonwoven-based hygiene and personal care products, food-contact materials as well as single-patient nonwoven medical devices. Adji was also involved in advocacy work on behalf of EDANA on technical issues and represented industry at ECHA meetings on substances in articles. She speaks English and French fluently and has a basic knowledge of Arabic.
