Experience

Advised one of the biggest Brazilian banks (Caixa Econômica Federal) in a facility granted to Sete Brasil, for the construction of nine drilling rigs to be chartered by Petrobras in the exploration of the pre-salt deep water oil reserves, in the amount of US$ 400 millions.

Advised private banks (Itaú Unibanco and Banco Santander) in an onlending facility granted to Usina Delta, with resources from Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), in the amount of US$ 120 millions.

Advised big local construction company in the negotiations to create a joint-venture for the development of a logistics project comprising ports and river navigation in Brazilian Midwest.  

Advised an international finance institution (International Finance Corporation - IFC) in granting a loan to Banco Daycoval in the amount of US$ 265 millions.

Advised a group of lenders in a project finance transaction involving the acquisition of the use rights of towers and telecommunications roof tops from Oi and Telemar Norte e Leste, involving approximately R$ 450 millions in debt and over R$ 180 millions in equity.

Advised north-American private equity fund (Acon Invesments) in obtaining previous approval from the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (Agência Brasileira de Telecomunicações - ANATEL) for the acquisition, and respective change of corporate control, of the telecommunications concessionaires Cabo Telecom and Videomar Rede Nordeste.

Advised local and foreign companies on granting collateral according to Brazilian Law on international finance transactions.

Advised companies acting on regulated industries in relation to interpretation of and compliance with applicable law.
