Overview

Brett Moskowitz is counsel in the Charlotte office of Mayer Brown's Banking & Finance practice and focuses on leveraged finance. He advises banks, financial institutions and other investors, as well as sponsors/borrowers in a variety of domestic and cross-border complex financing transactions, including syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, secured and unsecured transactions, asset-based loans, investment grade financing and institutional term loans, acquisition financings, cash flow facilities and first and second lien financings, in a wide variety of industries. Brett has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, representing the market-leading agent bank in syndicated financings, and other financial institutions and investors, in the music finance space. Brett’s media and entertainment experience includes representing clients in the television, film and music industry, music catalog finance, music fund finance and project and sports finance.

Experience

  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $180 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a SPV of a private equity sponsor to finance the acquisition of the music catalog of a well-known singer.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $250 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to finance the buyout of a well-known music publishing company by a SPAC.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $600 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a UK based but internationally-known music publishing company.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $80 million syndicated senior secured credit facility to a global music publishing company and certain of its U.S., U.K., Anguillan and Luxembourg subsidiaries.
  • Represented the administrative agent in a $200 million syndicated senior secured credit facility in connection with the development of a sports and entertainment stadium.
  • Represented several US and UK Lenders in connection with the financing of several companies in the live entertainment business.
  • Represented a UK Lender in connection with the financing of a well-known artist’s media and entertainment rights.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $1.1 billion syndicated senior secured credit facility to a leading poultry and agricultural company and certain of its subsidiaries.
  • Represented the administrative agent in a $2.65 billion senior unsecured investment grade credit facility to a well-known confectionary company and certain of its subsidiaries.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $1 billion senior unsecured investment grade cross-border multicurrency credit facility to a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment and certain of its U.S., U.K. and Dutch subsidiaries.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in the U.S. equivalent of approximately $650 million syndicated senior secured multicurrency cross-border credit facility to a sugar processing and manufacturing company and certain of its U.S., Canadian, Luxembourg and U.K. subsidiaries.
  • Represented the administrative agent and lead arranger in a $637.5 million syndicated senior secured first-lien and $80 million senior secured second-lien credit facility to a leading grain and flour producer and certain of its subsidiaries to finance an acquisition of other grain and flour companies.
