Overview

Admitted to the Paris Bar, Jean-François Louit is a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice of the Paris office.

Jean-François advises on mergers, acquisitions and capital investment. He particularly advises industrial companies listed or not, with respect to their various corporate transactions (disposal of shares or assets, privatization, public offerings or public to private). Jean-François has a more than fifteen years experience in domestic and cross border mergers & acquisitions within top Anglo-Saxons and French law firms.

Jean-François was recently involved in several major initial public offerings -including companies held by LBO investors- and in setting management incentive schemes in listed groups as well as employee offerings. He also focuses on various matters related to corporate governance of listed companies. He advises on the implementation of management incentive schemes in various situations (IPO’s, non-listed groups or capital investment transactions) or even employee offerings (PEE, FCPE etc.). More generally, he frequently advises Company top executives and family shareholders on their various legal matters.

He also provides advice, alongside Sébastien Delaunay and Caroline Lan, in the context of the implementation of shareholding plans (FCPE/PEE) in France and abroad.

Jean-Francois is regularly recommended by both Legal 500 and Chambers.

  • Advised private equity fund Primonial on the acquisition of 40% of the stakes of Financière de l’Echiquier, an asset management and financial investments company, from founders.
