Aloysius Liu is an associate in Mayer Brown's Singapore office, and a member of the firm’s global International Arbitration Practice.
Aloysius has broad experience of high value and complex commercial disputes involving a wide range of industries, including banking and finance, construction and infrastructure, bespoke machinery, supply and distribution agreements, data privacy, and shareholder disputes. He has advised and represented clients in disputes and international arbitrations under most leading arbitral rules and in diverse seats. Aloysius has also been involved in arbitration-related litigation before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Aloysius worked in one of Singapore’s top litigation firms, and his work there usually bears some PRC element, which requires an appreciation of Chinese law and culture. He was also previously an in-house counsel in an SGX-listed entity in the FMCG and publishing space.
Aloysius holds a Bachelor of Laws (2nd Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law.
Aloysius is fluent in English and Chinese.
