Overview

Kai Knight is an associate in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practices. Kai advises clients on breach responses involving ransomware and requests from government agencies on a wide variety of matters.

In addition, Kai has worked on several white-collar investigations, including cross-border FCPA matters. In that capacity, he participates in witness interviews and presentations to the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).

Kai clerked for the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and attended Georgetown University Law Center.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Kai conducted intelligence and counter-terrorism operations in the US Army and served in a support role as a government contractor in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
