Overview
Evan Kelson is a partner in Mayer Brown's New York office and a member of the Banking & Finance practice.
Evan focuses his practice on financings of trade receivables, energy receivables, equipment leases and loans, credit card receivables, telecom receivables, consumer loans, small business loans, whole-business securitizations, and esoteric assets.
Evan has been involved in transactions covering a number of key industries including transportation, fintech, oil & gas, consumer financial services, and technology, media & telecommunications.
Evan's experience includes SPV asset-based lending, direct asset purchases, master trusts and master note trusts. He also has experience with factoring transactions and receivable sale financings both domestically and internationally. In addition, Evan has developed new financial products for US and offshore transactions in the public and private markets.
Evan is a seasoned attorney with a very deep practice that spans finance, corporate and securities laws. Evan’s practice focuses on finance, structured finance, receivables sale financings and trade finance, securities and corporate transactions, including trade finance, asset-based lending, factoring, securitizations, bond offerings, and other capital market transactions.
Evan has particular experience with trade receivables securitization, factoring, supply chain/vendor finance, trade finance and other monetization strategies for trade receivables.
