John Huff is a Real Estate partner in Mayer Brown's Chicago office. He has extensive experience in the following areas:
Real Estate Acquisitions and Sales: represent buyers and owners (including developers, REITs, real estate funds and insurance companies) in acquisitions and sales of various types of real estate assets, including vacant land, apartments, office buildings, shopping centers, warehouse/industrial and multiple property portfolios.
Real Estate Finance: represent real estate buyers and owners in purchase money financing, acquisition debt assumption; construction loans and portfolio loans. Have also represented commercial lenders in both conventional real estate loans and subscription facility loans to real estate companies.
Joint Ventures: represent both developers and equity partners in joint venture real estate transactions, including portfolio joint ventures.
Leasing: represent landlords in leasing of existing and build-to-suit warehouse industrial space. Have also represented both landlords and tenants in office leasing transactions.
Miscellaneous: various real estate related work, including drafting and negotiation of easements, license agreements, subdivision covenants and restrictions and development agreements.
