  • Representing securitization trustees in several litigations, pending in various jurisdictions, arising out of their role as securitization trustee in residential mortgage-backed securities.
  • Served as counsel on team that obtained a complete victory for defendants, winning summary judgment dismissing a lawsuit seeking $950 million in damages that was brought by Oppenheimer Holdings and Oppenheimer & Co. arising from the sale of CIBC's US investment banking business. • Successfully sought an arbitration award ordering the Spanish seller of an environmental services company to pay a $5.5 million purchase price adjustment to the US purchaser, and dismissing all of the seller’s counterclaims, following a hearing conducted in New York under the ICC Rules of Arbitration.
  • Earned a final arbitration award ordering one partner of a foreign manufacturing joint venture to pay $38.4 million in damages, plus attorneys’ fees and costs, to our client following a week-long arbitration hearing conducted in Singapore under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
